Avoid this man in India! I finally got scammed. He's a scammer in Haridwar that pretends to be your friend. Not just for a minute, not an hour, but he will spend all day with you gaining your trust. This is the worst type of scammer. India is known for many scams, but this one is hard to see because you can't be sure if he's a friend or just lying the whole time. In the end, he got me with a motorbike scam, but he tried more. Avoid this man and avoid similar scams in India.

Tomorrow I am planning to visit Haridwar, if I happen to see him, I will be cautious, yes there are many fraud/ scammers in India. Thankyou for giving this precious information, one thing that you could have done is to report in nearest police station, since you had his photographs/ video.

This is truly sad, even his big speech about how screwed up people in delhi are with their bad treatment of tourists and he goes and does something like that... Be hard for anyone to realize hes a scammer really. I am surprised he did it even though he knew you had footage of him the entire day wtffff

India it is tough. Africa is worse . I vlog in spanish and just uploaded a video on my experience (a $300 scam in Uganda). So, I completely understand where you're coming from Alex. You can't let yourself defeat with those tragic things. The journey must continue.

Never give people money, that is the #1 rule. Also, please go to youtube which ever city you go and click "city name" and "scams". Like "Pushkar scams" or "Varanasi scams" or "Delhi scams", you will see all the scams.
