While the long term effects of coronavirus are still very much unknown, it is clear that the impact of this crisis will ripple through every layer of our social fabric. The fear and uncertainty can feel overwhelming, but we can also reimagine what the future, beyond Covid-19 and flattening the curve, might look like.
We want to hear what you are concerned about, hopeful for, or even looking forward to in an imagined future, for a Guardian video series. What are the things about our society that need to be protected and conserved for future generations, and where can we see a need for change? Whether it's jobs and work, the environment, the NHS, the economy, housing, travel or even relationships, let us know.

When it is over we WANT the normal life we had before this. No "new normal". I dont want to live in a world of hypocondriacs and neurotics. That is a nightmare.

"New normal" is a way of saying Normal is over. Obey or die.

We are taslking about AFTER coronavirus right? Yiu mean when the pandemic is OVER and we are not at risk of it anymore, right? Well, here is what I wish; that we all go out in the street, big crowds of people celebrating, hugging each other, kissing each other, holding and shaking hands and drink each others glass as a symbolic end of the pandemic and be more close to each other as humans than ever before and enjoying life to the fullest. And plexiglasses are removed aswell as signs of keeping 2 meters distance. That is what I wish. Was that the answer you like to hear? No? Well, sorry but that is how i think. Dont think any sane person wants this "germphobic new normal insanity" that is heavily promoted by media. Sorry, but I dont want "the new normal" if that is what you want to hear. Have a nice day.

From Canada. About to graduate and feeling unsure about the future; being 22 and transitioning to adulthood is already hard and the pandemic is only making it harder. Living with my mom in an apartment and even with just two people it gets claustrophobic. Everything's up in the air in the moment and I'm wondering if the rest of my early adulthood is gonna be like this - and often I'm left thinking about the things I've never done. I've never been in a relationship, never travelled without my parents, still don't really feel all that independent, and I'm learning all too quickly that all of these developments will have to be put on hold.

My situation by far isn't the worst in this pandemic but it's still quite difficult, but I'm still really hopeful.

Lies, government control, lack of trust, dehumanization, breakdown in communication even more than before, selfishness, I only care about me. Send me another check so I'll shout up and obey.

Don't even insist on a new normal. It's disturbing. The "NORMAL" I want is the normal where we can make our own individual choices on EVERY SINGLE MATTER THAT EXISTS. if it's criminal then you pay the price. If it infringes on anybody else's rights, you pay the price. It's SIMPLE.

The new normal should be the old normal .

Working from home for those occupations where it is feasible. Since the lockdown began, myself and my gf have been far less stressed (despite the workload remaining similar) largely because working at home is far preferable to commuting. There’s little reason why desk-based workers need to truck into the office every day in this day and age.
I would also suggest a sort of voluntary lockdown/commercial slowdown every January ( maybe July in the Southern Hemisphere) for the planet’s sake. Most people are in a self-imposed lockdown after Christmas anyway...

Our health care system needs to evolve badly.

We also must realize that we are now living in the most uncertain times of our lives. Things are changing at a very rapid pace and we do not have much control on what is going on around us. Probably the only thing we can still control in our mind and thoughts.

I comply with the New normal. But I personally hate it.

The pollution problems! The power companies are making more money because people staying home use more utilities. I want to see more solar and action on cleaning up the worlds water supply. Not just one country, but all. There are no borders to stop the virus and no borders stop people either. We are ONE family. ONE people

Actually use technology to reduce the need to get in the car and clog up the roads and atmosphere for no reason but your company culture is rigid.

I like the fact some jobs are doing more remote work now which means the roads are normally less clustered but some of the cleaning steps.
