HTML5 is the latest version of HTML, the difference? More tags have been added to HTML5 for e.g. the header, nav, aside, section and footer tags. I go over those tags later on in the series.

I had a question about bold and italics, in older HTML you could use b /b and i /i (in proper tag format), and I'm doing some test pages as I watch the tutorial and it still seems to work. So, do you HAVE to use strong and em, will b and i not be recognized by certain browsers?

YawaruSan . You should use <b> and <i>, strong and em are browser dependent. For example, if in the future, Google decided that their chrome browser should make <strong> text highlighted, it would change the strong tag's text.

Use bold and italics, not strong and emphasized.

You shouldn't be showing a tutorial for modern html using strong and em tags.

I can understand an attempt to do these tutorials in a step by step guide but these tags are used pretty much 0% in web page development today.
