Sure, it was rude to claim Vhagar when Rhaena was grieving, but that doesn't make it not geniuine. Aemond went up to the dragon he wanted after being taunted and outrigjt bullied for not having a dragon and Vhagar let him ride her, that's fair game by all measurable metrics

I mean yeah he definitely took a chance and the dragon accepted him and if she didn’t he would’ve been ash. But she accepted him and there’s nothing to change it- even if it feels wrong. But he also had no clue what he was getting into bonding with a dragon of such a long history and a warrior of such high regard. This is clear when he goes after his nephew and ends up accidentally getting him killed.

I find it funny that people feel like they have to defend Aemond when Aemond himself said that his eye is nothing compared to what he just obtained. Basically, Aemond' statement is right but it is still a shitty move towards your cousin 😂

The kid (I can't remember her name lol) complaining that Vhagar was "hers to claim" rubs me the wrong way. Like, it's a living beast, not your mother's car. Aemond was absolutely right, if she wanted her, she should have claimed her.
