After the last Chrome update I got a black login screen. Thanks to the second tip I discovered there was no Chrome file where it should have been. I uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled and now it all works again. Thank you!

I had this issue and went through all the suggested methods and it still did not work. Not to say all advice is not good information, it is. But if all suggestions fail. You have to reset your modem so it refreshes its own IP and connection protocol. After contacting my internet service provider as I was told by my PC guy, they rebooted my modem, but that did not work either. So they suggested I click the reset button on my modem and wala that worked. I clicked the modem reset button and rebooted my PC and everything was working again fine.
