Bill Gates, please take this opportunity to return all that farmland to committed Regenerative Agriculture farmers. Doing this will create nutrient dense foods, will restore genetic integrity to plants (improve seed quality), will rebuild topsoil eroded/lost since about 70 years ago. This would help prevent further ocean acidification, integral to ocean recovery. Regenerative Ag works with forests, rather than clearing them to grow food. Reforestation is integral to re-establish natural fertile growing conditions as well as stabilizing the climate vs. the otherwise approaching climate chaos. Whether or not you have children &/or grandchildren reconsider towards this, cuz we must forge a future for posterity, as reforested slopes will also restore nature's hydrology, boosting continental fresh water reserves to meet future demand. You have enough money to live high off the hog for 1000 lifetimes, so why not?
