I use a very similar setup regularly. I find a tree limb around head high and attach it to my tarp with a cord. Using trekking poles is interesting. Thanks for sharing.

for me who doesnt have a walking pole and wants something more adjustable than a stick, a walking crutch is perfect.

4x4 dd camo tarp is great . That extra bit bigger makes a difference . Set up in a tarp tent shelter you are able to sit on a chair inside of it loads of room

Some weird sizes running between 9.9’ to 10.05’. Just to keep it simple, you can use a 10x10 foot tarp. Or a 12’x12’. Generally those sizes are nominal, so they run a bit smaller. But there is no need to search for fancy metric tarps.
