Cool, but I'll stick to my hammock with tarp over a line strung between two trees then stake it to the ground. Much easier, roomier, and hammock is more comfortable than laying on the ground.

What are the dimensions of the tarp? Does this work best w/ a rectangular tarp or a square? What’s the smallest size tarp you’d recommend to protect 2 hikers and their backpacks for a WINDY RAINY emmergency? 1 hiker?

Take corner a and peg it, take corner b and tie it to the midle, peg corner 7 and tighten line to first peg, make a half hitch and peg on and on. Im just geting a $25 tent from walmart.

Prefer the C Fly configuration with my rugged/reliable full camo 10x12’ Gold Armour rainfly. Only 4 pegs for a 4x10’ dry ground cover. 5’ high to the ridge line & a 3x10’ slanted canopy: 2 corner guy lines & a center prop stick. Wind at your back, fire in the front, dry kindling/gear on each end - nice & toasty within. Poor old farty marty, he doesn’t know where the fish are biting? Vaya Con Dios!
