What I love about this scene is evil is back, and more powerful again.

I went to see this movie opening weekend to a mostly full theatre, there were people yapping constantly, including the three friends I brought. When this scene happened everyone in that theatre shut up all at once. We all watched him pull the mask over and there was complete bone chilling silence. It made the trunk slam that much louder and for 4-5 seconds the only sound that was echoing off the theatre walls was his breathing. Legendary movie and scene.

This edition of the mask in the Halloween series has gone down as my all time favorite. Even more so than the original which I never thought I would say. My top 3 would be Halloween 2018, Halloween 1978, and Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers.

I love this movie so much. It proved once and for all that my boy Mike, through all the bullshit movies (5, Resurrection, Rob Zombie’s “Reboot”) is still the king. Fuck Freddy and Jason.
