you'd also like to add the hair shaders don't work in eevee and there are options in the render tab to change how the hair strands look.

I'm going to assume the 4m length is for beginners who model really large and not 'to scale', so that they see the hair when they apply it to their 2m tall head they made. This isn't being mean, I think it's just the norm for newer users to model huge.

If you link duplicated one of those hair clumps (a bunch of times), , would it speed up baking and or rendering time, or not really matter in this case?
