Great video! I was at this crossroad not too long ago and I’m so happy I chose a UX Writing centered course instead of a Design one (and it cost me 1/4th the price).

Much of what I’ve learned about UX Writing doesn’t focus on design other than the placement of text. It’s nice being able to mock-up screens in Figma, but I was able to learn the serviceable basics through an introductory course that only took a week.

Would love to see a video from you about putting together a portfolio, either for newcomers or just a general one.

Awesome! Thank you and I been waiting for you to upload more. I am currently transitioning from architecture to UX writing. I was doing the sell taught route through your suggestion but after some mentoring I got access to a Boot Camp now working on my portfolio. Any advice for portfolio?

Thanks… what abt the Google UX certification? It’s cheaper than most boot camps. So is this a good way for aspiring UX writers to learn the ropes of UX in general?

What if I deserve the job and have good skills but don't have portfolio or don't have that much of time to invest in to create portfolio?
