As someone getting a master’s in UX, I absolutely hate videos like this that glorify the role and downplay what we actually do as UX practitioners. You need to understand business strategy, project management, visual design, accessibility, information architecture, psychology, usability, etc. The list goes on. And let me tell you: it’s a lot of work! Not sipping cocktails while scrolling through Dribbble.

As a product designer, I’m always on call to answer product managers and stakeholders. In between meetings I’m rushing to design, research, and strategize. This video makes it seem like it’s a relaxed job, when for me, it’s been very fast paced (and don’t even get me started with how much developers will fight with you about everything)
