I have the exact same car. You will never ever want to speed when you drive this LX. You are always relaxed and happy. I haven't got a single speeding ticket in 6 years since I owned this. Incredible in snow and offroad too.

What is very impressive is how the two of you at your young age can also appreciate what this vehicle has to offer. Despite the high mileage, these vehicles are made almost bulletproof and can easily go up to 500, 000 miles without any headaches or major repair.

Today's 70 Series and earlier generations of Land Cruiser also offered a tailgate that would split and carry a spare tire. 🤩🤩

No matter how fancy and tech advanced cars nowadays, they will never be as reliable as these old cars. As my 78’ Datsun 280z proves which still drives solidly after 46 years. Same engine/transmission. Keep them stock and they will serve you endlessly.

Have an 01 in this exact spec, just rolled over 200k. I did delete the AHC cause the cold temps in northern MN gave me issues, and it would default to low mode. Normal rust for a midwest vehicle, and have had lots of money dumped into it to keep it going. But I love it so much, just drove a round trip to Toronto and back with no issues and got over 14 mpg on 33s. Hope to keep it for another 200k!

Greets from Russia, Siberia. I have 2001 lx470 from US 🇺🇲, it has 235k miles and still in good condition. AHC is overhauled this year, changed all required details and liquids. Last year changed transmission refurbished. That's most expensive issues for 20+ year vehicle.😊
