How to be more comfortable when wearing a surgical mask

Helps me a lot because I find it difficult to breathe when using those commercially available masks. Now I can deep breathly as if I'm not wearing one! Thanks! :)

This video shows HOW NOT TO WEAR A SURGICAL MASK.
Surgical/medical masks weren't designed to be used this way.
1. By tying the ear straps, you will compromise the face fit of the mask. Our face don't have acute angles, so an angular mask won't fit snugly to our somewhat flat cheeks.
As you can see at the end of the video, there is a poorly fitting section at the left side of the mask where she tied the ear straps.

2. This will drastically decrease the surface area of the mask that covers your face.

Remember to keep touching it, all the time. Put it under your chin, then back on your face, then take it off and put it in your bag. Put it back on, touch is a bit more. This little piece of cloth is really doing something :))))

This method is not recommended because it requires so much hand to surface contact of the mask, the idea when putting on a surgical mask is that hand to surface contact is minimal. Please do not use this method.

Thanks but I think one should not touch it anyhow more especially without washing hands. You should have shown washing of hand first.

So I was told by a health care worker that the elastic strips have to be on the inside of mask and that’s how I knew what side was inside and the outside. So how come I see videos where the strings are on the out of the mask?

lol 😂so you put germs all over your mask first then put it on your face lol

I just finished doing this, there are gaps on the side of the masks where it is folded inwards. Do not use this method as shown.
