Fat influencers get destroyed by fat guy

If you don't face your problems don't expect to grow and become a better person. You will always be weaker than your problems and never feel truly confident in your abilities as a human. You either grind hard to defeat your weaknesses or you stay a weak loser.

A wise person once said:
"Don't confuse self love with self neglect"

“loving myself made me eat KFC 3 times a day, hating my self encouraged me to change my life” the hardest quote i’ve ever heard. and he’s so right too. trial by fire

I asked my doctor what he thought about these “fat influencers”. He tried to be diplomatic at first, thinking I supported them. But once he knew I think they are fools he went off. Called them strait up murderers.

I'm fat and I've always hated the love yourself bs. Loving yourself means wanting to better yourself to be happier mentally and physically

Man I feel like both the loving myself and hate myself lead to overeating. Just accepting it without any extra feelings and working on it tends to work for me

As a fat guy, I appreciate his honesty. We know we're undesirable and lonely and it is all our fault and need to find the purpose and power to change even if it takes years. This man made self hatred something useful. This is something few understand and will ever achieve.

Just a friendly reminder that people can be motivated in different ways. Some are motivated by money, praise, being happy you're making progress, hating where you are in life, or something along those lines. As long as you're heading to become a better version of yourself, then do whatever works for you. I'm so proud of this guy for finding his own way to change for the better.

I agree, I'm morbidly obese myself and have lost about 16kgs in the span of a 3 months now and I'm going strong. No more insecurities, no more second thoughts I want to be myself once more to truly feel comfortable in my skin. I hate how I look now, but I'm hopeful for the future because I know underneath all this is a mountain of gold waiting to be uncovered.

The point, and a very valid point, of the love at any size movement is that you should be happy with yourself regardless of your size. Be happy because you’re alive and be happy to live another day. What it got wrong is, just because you are at a specific place in life doesn’t mean you have to stay there. Be happy with your body, but also know you can always be better and improve yourself. But that doesn’t mean hate yourself until you get better. That leads to body dysmorphia even when you lose the weight and also leads to using drugs to get a better body. Be happy with the body you have. We are born with a certain body. Some people are born with bigger bones. Others without legs. Others blind. Be happy with what you have and learn to live a happy life in your skin. At the same time, know we can all improve ourselves everyday.

Don't hate yourself. Be unhappy with your past choices and move always forward.

Opposite for me.

Finally learning to love myself is what inspired me to start taking my health and fitness seriously.

I got tired of the slow passive literal suicide attempts of eating trash and doing nothing about it, knowing that I was constantly stacking the deck against myself.

One time a girl that I really liked told me through a mutual friend that she only hung out with me to be polite for our mutual friend's sake, that hurt a lot but that's when I started truly trying to make my life better.

The main issue I see with “body positivity” influencers is that they confuse self love with neglect. I have been doing my weight loss journey for about 1 years now. I started at 280lbs and am currently at about 215. I know what it’s like to be fat and how easy it is to tell myself that I love myself while eating fast food. It’s a trap. No you don’t have to hate yourself to improve, but you can’t wait for change to come to you. I love myself and therefore what BETTER for myself. I want to be healthy. I want to feel attractive. I want compliments from others because that PROVES my hard work. It’s a struggle, yes, but that is no excuse to lie down and wallow in self isolation. Love your personality now and work on your body so you can love your looks later.

my opinion: treat everyone with basic kindness and respect (like don't bully someone because of their weight), but encourage them to improve themselves. Eating healthy and excersizing is important. Real self love is being healthy.

Loving yourself isn't about doing whatever you feel like just how loving your child doesn't mean you just give them everything they want. Love means caring enough to push someone to doing something they don't want to because it will improve their lives, whether it's yourself or others. Care enough about yourself to be healthy, it's way more effective then being dissatisfied with your body or trying to impress people.

I agree with him, the toxic positivity is the worst for anyone struggling. I remember having to deal with people like that when I was fat. "Oh its ok, its just who you are." I hated that.

Hating yourself is never ok. On the other hand loving yourself, but being able to admit you have a problem, and working towards fixing that problem is excellent.

"Hating my self encouraged me to change and encouraged me to be a better man" can't deny any of that.

I used to be fat. Hated how I looked. Three years later, losing 60 pounds, I feel a lot better.

he will be hitting big goals with a mindset like that.
