Sending Love to my Friend Nathan, he has taught me so much about Surf Fishing! Support his Rod Company, he makes the best Rod's! I'm in my Thirties and he taught me how to Surf fish almost 20 years ago, He really knows what he's talking about! Love from (Josh+Rob)

Shout out to Aaron on the Cobia Killer! We chartered with him a few years ago in the OBX. The weather was shit, but we made the best of it and still managed to catch some fish. Solid dude, and memorable trip!

We have a commercial ad here in TX that says not to use Grocery store bought shrimp because they carry some disease/virus that kills shrimp and fish.

i was relieved and surprised to see that big ass weight attached directly to the line using only a barrel swivel. I've tried that before and was having line twist issues. I think I was using braid that day which must be the reason why. Im happy to know I dont need to buy any more weight sliders

I notice that circle hooks were used. Is the intention to allow an easy release of fish caught, to still catch fish when the rod is unattended or to make a hook up easier because the strike, to make a hookup, is not required? Perhaps all three? Mullet stays on the hook longer than other baits & gives the chance of catching a quality fish before the pickers reduce it to skin. I note short leaders were used. I find longer leaders (about 3 feet) allows the bait to move around more freely in the current & present more naturally to the fish. Australian - Estuary- landbased fisherman.

What’s an average size rod and reel that works for surf fishing?

Line is ok.
Sinkers are a failure...
if you say “the best” you must get a satellite (anchor or Sputnik) style sinker.
