After your video on the VLC Media Player security issue, I uninstalled it from my computer. I didn't use it very much anyway so I don't miss miss it all. Upon your recommendation, I downloaded & installed Pot Player, which I haven't used in more than a year. It has become even better than I remember and is now my default media player. Thank you!

I never worried too much about VLC, for some reason they are big enough to be able to quickly react to these kinds of issues. I still don't understand their popularity, using the three players, I find that PotPlayer has much better image quality, and I much prefer their layout, navigation, and library functionality. As for MPC, which I have been using much more, they are the launchers of the huge CODEC Libraries which benefit all players. The MPC player works well.
Anyway, thanks to these three main players, I am sure there are much more out there, long gone are the days when we couldn't play half the stuff we had downloaded... All three of these, if people don't forget to download the huge MPC CODEC Library, at least once a year, should be fine, play every format available, including opening the world of true 10bit 4K to all us Torrent users.

Thanks Gilles I uninstalled older version and installed new one. Lot of added bits that need unchecking though : )

Hi, I had to install from mircrosoft store ...vlc....I tried several times to get it off the site you put down below
