Cheap Coil Fork vs Mid Range Fork

A simple video showing the differences in movement between a good air-sprung fork and a cheap coil-sprung fork.
With a multitude of adjustments like spring-rate, compression damping, rebound damping and air volume, the Rockshox Revelation is more stable and composed in handling small bumps and rough terrain vs the erratic behaviour of the cheap RST Gila fork with almost no adjustments and settings.

This is by no means a scientific comparison but a simple demonstration of how a mid-range fork performs vs a budget one.

Bikes:
Left - Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp w/ Rockshox Revelation RL 150mm
Right - Trek Marlin 6 w/ RST Gila Coil Fork

Cool side by side camera angle. Ill have to try that! The sun/shadows made it a bit tougher but still very good way to compare!

Coil much more rugged feel for a rugged trail.. while air fork more smoother for smoother trails..but all depends on psi and riders personal choice feel... would love to have both coil and air...

This is so stupid, you're comparing a fork which has 50% more travel. No point to this video at all
