I first learned about Julie Gold's fine songwriting as a big fan of Nanci Griffith. It's fun to hear Julie tell her story. She is quite a writer.

People need to get over it - "man" has many meanings. As a songwriter myself, I see her use of the word "man" as "Mankind", which is all human beings, not just a Man or a Woman!! BGardner.
