Man, I love dexter I can’t believe how perfect it is. Before I started watching dexter I finished game of thrones and I was thinking “how could anything be better than this” and well I was wrong dexter my favorite show. Loved the sad ending

I gotta say I absolutely loathed how it ended when I watched the finale. But thinking back now, I guess it makes sense. Dexter indirectly caused the deaths of the people he cared most about, and Debra's catatonic state just pushed Dexter into finally realising that he couldn't and wasn't meant to lead a happily-ever-after life.
I suppose in a sense, the ending was fitting. Dexter was never truly a "good guy", he was first and foremost a sociopathic serial killer whose code still managed to keep him alive. Still one of my all time favourite shows
