Dr Berry I love how you don't mince words. You paint an accurate picture of the end of life for Type 2 diabetics. No sugar coating (pun intended). I've lost 27 lbs on keto, down to 109 lbs.

I wish we knew this just a couple of years sgo. My mom passed away from complications of diabetes and her doctor was doing all the wrong things for her. More and more insulin. I have no doubt that she would still be here today if her doctor or myself had known this. Miss you mom.

After having a heart attack last Nov. my a1c was 9.6, The hospital put me on fast and slow acting insulin also metformin. Left the doctors office yesterday with an a1c of 5.3. Doctor took me off of the fast acting insulin and is running test to find out which type of diabetes I have. Good thing I didn't listen to my dietician and did my on own research. Been following the Keto diet (not 100% but working on it) thanks in part to your videos. I consider you a life saver.

22-November-2018 - A1C was 7.5% and weight was 225 lbs. I started a vegetarian keto diet along with intermittent fasting a few days later. I had my latest blood tests yesterday (20-Feb-2019) and the doctor called me today with the results - A1C of 5.2%, weight was 185.4 lbs! I'm now aiming for an A1C of less than 5% by my next test in May. My longterm goal is to get to a weight of about 130 lbs with an A1C of 4.5% or lesser. Dr Berry's videos have been a huge help in my quest to defeat Type 2 Diabetes. Thank you Dr Berry!

Wow! Thank you so much!! My mother recently found out she is a type 2 diabetic. She didn't even know she was sick! The hospital fed her high carb crap. Soda!! Rice!! Juice!! Potatoes! They were keeping her sick. Now she is home and we have major changes to make with her whole diet. Low carb everything! This was great information to start with! Thank you!!❤

Dr. Berry, I am a believer in the Keto diet now. To give you an idea of how much this diet can change your life, I was diagnosed by my doctor on Feb13 with Type 2 diabetes. He made this diagnosis based on my blood panel from 8 Feb 2019. My A1C is 12, my Glucose is 306, my HDL is 22, my Cholesterol is 354, and my VLDL couldn't even be calculated because my Triglycerides were through the roof..we are talking outer atmosphere level. My doctor gave me the whole regimen, Glipizide, Januvia, and Metaformin. Since I have been taking my blood glucose, my fasting glucose levels each day since the 15th has gone from 252, 252, 179, 212, 163, 131, and 147. I am either doing something incredibly wrong to affect those levels, or my meter is broken, or my diet has changed my life. I follow Dr. Bergs healthy Keto as best I can, and the one that opened my eyes the most, was Dr. Jason Fung, the Nephrologist from Toronto who is seeing very awesome results with Keto and intermittent fasting. I loved his book "The Diabetes Code" which clearly lays out how you gain IR and Diabetes. If Diabetes Type 2 is chronic and incurable, then why does my 83 year old father no longer have it, when he lost 70 pounds because of his other ailments, which forced him to lose weight while bed ridden. Just a long comment for some folks that might not believe the quick results that can happen...at least from a glucose standpoint. I haven't even seen the Endocrinologist or the Nutritionist yet...I don't like sickness and I am learning and fighting this as much as I can. Dominoes don't deliver anymore to my house.

Thanks for the info. My a1c was 7.5 so I refused the medication and went keto. In 3 months, lost over 25 lbs. and most recent a1c was 5.4. My Dr. was so impressed he ask me to stick around and talk to other patients. I know there’s more I need to do, but just want to thank you again.

Best video yet! I love it when you pull no punches!
I have another friend in hospital dying from medication and dietary complications. And all those specialists hanging around him can only make things worse.
