Jeep Grand Cherokee 2012-on oil change reset

Just a quick video how to reset service oil light on jeep grand Cherokee

For my 2013 Australian delivered diesel Grand Cherokee Overland @AutoMotiv8ed method was the only one that worked. I tried the "3 pedal depress" fast, slow, and at least 5 times .. .nothing.

He is correct with this method for early WK2 Aussie cars:
1. Cycle the ignition to the "ON/RUN" position (Do not start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it fully depressed for at least 30 seconds.
3. Press and release the brake pedal six times while holding the accelerator pedal pressed.
4. Perform one ignition OFF-ON cycle, start the engine and verify that the reminder has been reset.

Hey yall. It really does work but you have to do it really fast & you have to start at run, not accessory.

If i reset, will it automatically go to 100% or go to the actual current level? Asking because I just added oil and i need to know my actual level .. may just go to walmart.

In the video he says press start button.
You have to press start button twice. Not once like he shows you

Didn't work on UK spec. Si myob's 30 second accelerator press and 6 brake presses did the trick though.

Why is the push start button on the left side in this video? Threw me off, Anywho It does work! I tried it this morning after having my oil changed this past weekend. Your going to push the start button until it reads RUN then pump the gas pedal "accelerator" 3 times, then start car. Check your messages in the system setup info screen the oil change message is cleared and you'll no longer have the " i " info on your screen as well.

Doesn't work, it only did not come up for you because you had already seen it in that cycle. If you turned it off and on again it would still be there
