Hey Paul. Still love watching your videos. I have a 7 person crew. My wife recently "bought" me a new work truck. I put a ladder rack and some side boxes. She's a beauty. The deal was... I have to start doing drywall jobs on my own. #sidejobs. Eh, I think it's fair. So tomorrow is my 1st drywall job on my own lol. My crew is on a couple other jobs. 2 patches and a retexture. Maybe 6 hours $400. Easy $. Glad she kicked me in the butt.

Great technique. I have a one foot stress break in the drywall and tape that covers the top horizontal metal face of my in-wall self contained gas fireplace (too much weight from above). Before I head to Home Depot tomorrow for materials, do fireplace drywalls and drywall repairs require different fire rated materials? Thanks.

Why are you using joint compound?
It has glue in it and requires a primer and then a paint

Why not use some quickset mud so you don’t have to go back the next day?
