He watched every death, waiting, patiently. When Puss had finally reached his final life, death appeared. Chasing, hunting...waiting. A tune so inviting, yet so menacing. He was no collecting a soul, he was trying to take it. Puss did not value life because he had so much time....but time always catches up. Death caught up because death is time. He wanted Puss to fight, "pick it up, " he wanted Puss to respect death, "You never noticed because he laughed in the face of death, " he wanted Puss to earn his nineth life. That's why in the end he spared him...for now. But time(death) always runs out, "You know we'll meet again?" *whistles*

I want more people to realise how absolutely chilling what he does at 1:36 is. The skill required to catch the blade mid-thrust to prevent it from hitting him and laugh while doing it is not only so high it's mind-boggling, but it in fact would have been easier for him to just straight up kill Puss there instead. This is like shooting the knife out of your opponent's hand instead of killing them outright. He could have already killed you, whatever he is doing now he is doing it for fun because you pose such little challenge he has to make it harder for himself to make it worth his while.

God could you imagine if Dreamworks just made an entire movie about this guy, and it would just be called "Death"

This is without a doubt, the first real movie from Dreamworks where the reason its so talked about is not the hero of the show, but instead the villain. And this trailer, this tribute, this... masterpiece, will no doubt fuel the legacy that is Death - the Wolf.

The moment in the movie that gave me *chills* was the moment where he took the coins and put them over his eyes, then, in the same movement, pointed his fingers out towards Puss. All the while whistling his tune.
Just the symbolism in that moment was brilliant

I love that they made Death a wolf. It has so many connotations in the other fairy tales as we all know "the big, bad wolf". Does it mean the three little pigs tried to hide away from Death? Does it mean Little Red Riding Hood tried to outsmart Death? Or were they separate unrelated wolves? Who knows?

1:20 and onward just absolute chills. The way he opens the door with the music, the ticking- oohhh yea. Absolute villain who's ironically not a villain but a force of nature, a true antagonist which makes him even scarier because he doesn't want to rule the world or do anything silly. He wants to kill Puss. Very personal, very dark.
