Thank you for sharing! All to often employers have great ideas and a vision and they sell their ideas to the school! But in the end they don’t know how to capture the essence of what it takes to move the mountains of emotional change necessary to meet the goal! The emotional and physical effort it’s going to take . What is really sad is there is not safety net built in to catch and support the burnout experienced by everyone!!!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm thinking about going into admin myself. I've been teaching for 6 years at 4 schools - elementary, middle and high school. I've been through the ringer (covid), and I'm getting to the point where I'm considering leaving the classroom. My experience has been that the working environment has 100% correlation to the overall job satisfaction. Districts, schools, and grade levels have different working conditions- ultimately depends where you teach. My assertion is that the teachers are always getting shafted at every turn, hence the consideration into admin or instructional coach.
