'Complete failure': Secret Service director resigns after Trump assassination attempt

This woman was never going to have any choice but TO resign. She was never going to be allowed to continue in her capacity as director by either side of the aisle Republican or Democrat and rightfully so. It was an utter failure on the SS part to make sure that there was no line of sight directly to the former President.

But what also make makes this particular situation worse is ALL of the warnings they got well in advance. The suspicious drone, the people pointing to someone crawling on the roof, the notification that the person had a gun. And also the time it took for them to get Trump off of the stage and his exposure during that removal. It all looks bad.

I am a guy that is against everything Trump stands for but, that NEVER should have happened to him.

When she said that agents were not on the roof because of the "slope", I knew she wasn't a serious person. I do have compassion for her as a person. She is having a rough go of it. But that is exactly what happens when you are unqualified.

There’s more to this. Yesterday she was asked if she wanted to resign and she smugly said “no thank you” then at the end you could hear her getting up say “wow” in a sarcastic manner… I couldn’t believe her attitude. And now she’s magically resigning? Seems very fishy.

This is looking more and more like an inside or planned job. No way could the SS forget about protecting the most obvious spot and the snipers not seeing this guy until he took a shot. No way! We all know the democrats are more desperate that ever to stop Trump and this does not surprise me they would go to this level. The idea that a sloped roof of a 1/12 pitch is too steep to put an agent on is the dead giveaway that something does not smell right here. The counter snipers were on a 4/12 pitch and that still is not steep. 1/12 pitch is ADA compliant even for wheel chairs for crying out loud, so basically, she just tipped her hand that something really stinks here.

Allowing her to resign is injustice to the person who died and the others who were injured due to the criminal negligence - if not complicity - of the Secret Service
