I found a similar knife thing in a box of stuff that my grandpa gave me from Vietnam. The main difference is that it doesn't have a blade, it's just a really thick needle with 2 holes on the end where the Co2 come out. We tried it on a watermelon and it blew it apart, hilarious.

This reminds me of a weapon called the Shark Dart that was developed by the Navy in the 60s to help the rescue divers deal with sharks in the recovery area when they were retrieving vehicles from the space program . It was a hollow needle like tube with two holes just below the tip . the needle tip was mounted on a spear like pole and was attached to a CO2 cartridge . When a shark was in the vicinity and deemed a threat the diver would spear the shark, puncturing its abdomen, thus releasing the gas giving the shark an abdominal embolism, causíng its stomach to be regurgitated through the mouth, covering its gills resulting in drowning . pretty quick and effective . The only down side is that you have to get pretty close to the predator to employ the weapon, but if that is going to be the situation anyway, it would be good to have this device to save your life. 👍🏻
