We know we’re supposed to maintain coordinated flight, at least most of the time. But when the ball is out of the center many pilots don’t know the difference between a slip and a skid, and why one can be so much more hazardous than the other. Retired US Army aviator and current BPPP instructor Mike Friel reviews how slips and skids differ, and why it’s vital to know the difference.

Excellent instruction. Thank you.
The emphasis and reminder to pilots about the dangers of power on stalls is great. Reminder to pilots, that left turning tendency on takeoff starts as soon as you rotate, before going airborne.

I'm just an MSFS pilot.
Still, I want to understand flying.
This video is very good. Thanks, it explains slipping and sliding perfectly. Greetings from Austria

outstanding explanation- you actually have to look pretty hard to find an explanation of why skids are bad for you!
