I have a lot more respect for your content after you took the retrospective stance of being too clickbaity. Now, you make engaging content which lives up and often exceeds expectations set by the title and thumbnail. There's always a cool ending piece to the videos and, at least for me, the trust has been re-earned for me to always click and watch through your videos.

I used to be a talented painter and an accomplished musician and I made some very poor decisions and spent years on heroin and on the street...today I'm happily sober and married and thriving and I just did my first piece in years! Your channel inspires me and clearly legions of other human beings. What a lovely thing you share with the world. God Bless:)

The sad thing is, the first drawing in this video with the crayons normally, is better than any art I could do with top-of-the-range supplies.

No one does the heated skillet and paper technique anymore with the crayon. Basically, you have an electric skillet and you place paper down let it be heated and you draw on top with said crayons. The wax melts on contact as you draw. It was the best way to do it.

Textured paper probably wasn’t an optimal choice for the first crayon sketch. Hot-press or mixed media paper would be a better alternative.

"How can i justify using a flamethrower in an artwork?.... i can melt stuff, but what should i melt?.... okay, i'm gonna melt what i hate, so i'm gonna melt crayons" - jazza's line of thought

"Distract yourself from existential dread" that is literally what I'm doing. Thanks Jazza. You videos are some of the best for that

You could probably grate the crayons into a waxy sand, which could in theory be applied in fine detail to a canvas first painted with some sort of adhesive medium. Once complete, a brief stint in a low oven could bring the image into focus.

I’m so glad I’ve stuck with Jazza through all of these years… and I’m really glad he’s still continuing to put out content that shows his love for art, experimentation, and creativity. Like the fact that he’s been doing this art channel for so long and STILL finds new stuff to do is so inspiring to me.

What about drawing with crayons "normally" on a heat resistant canvas and then melting the picture?
Might be cool, if it works

You missed a method you could have used here, which is melting in layers and then peeling layers back with a knife/pointy stick still looks cool but I wanted to see you find those colours underneath in other ways, and you get to add your own textures then rather than relying on melted wax awesomeness (you could have peeled back the sky to reveal mountains carved into them that might have been unusually satisfying given the background would weirdly pop up above the foreground)

I have a better recommendation! We used to to this at a kids' fun center. You use an electric griddle set pretty low, cover it with foil to protect it, then put your paper on and get artsy. It's so fun the way they glide and get melty as you draw.

Jazza's wife: "Honey- It's your turn to cook dinner" Jazza looks at crayon pots and pans. "Pizza night!"

You should seal your work with resin to give it a glossy look and to protect the crayons from cracking and breaking.

Jazza I’m a high schooler, and I used crayons. And they are misunderstood medium, I’m gonna list a few things that’ll make coloring with crayons better.
1) DON’T USE TEXTURED PAPER I noticed that the paper you used was textured, for crayons you need smooth paper with little to no texture
2) YOU CAN BLEND THEM much like color pencils, they take layers and you need to start off lightly so then you can build up the color and blend
3) Follow up to 1) the wax does stick and doesn’t change shape, but again you used textured paper thus making the wax uneven and unable to stick
I’m not being a jerk just simply pointing out major errors you did.
Overall love you content!

I love how these two art pieces really illustrate both Jazza’s chaotic and anarchical artistic energy and also his focused and refined capabilities. It’s like each piece represents his two extremes. Love it.

My favorite thing about your channel is the fact that you just go try new things no matter how little experience you have.

It is extremely motivating, because I used to never do new things because I KNEW I'd mess it up...but learning from you that it doesn't matter and is actually a good thing to fail because you LEARN has been such an amazing experience thank you

I'd love to see how chiseling areas would go. I feel like that has to produce a thick layer of wax, so it could be neat to carve away a few areas to reveal some different colors. Almost like those scratch away arts

My father used to use sealing wax and a skewer. Melt the end of the wax, scoop some off with the skewer and press onto the surface. He made lovely textured pictures. I don't know if you could do the same with regular crayons.
