It's a low observable stealth pigeon.

That Pidgeon was actually upgraded to the Mk. II pattern in 1998 before being retired a few years later when the Belgian Army divested itself of its light avian capabilities. Most of the old stock was bought by Canada or the Netherlands with this single example remaining for historical and training purposes.

Apparently, acquiring all those planes really maxed their budget. The Pidgeon was all that they could afford for Security Detail. It even provided its own uniform. Well done Belgian Royal Military Museum, well done! 🐦‍⬛🇧🇪✈️

Tiny carrier pigeons carried the most secret messages. They were harder to spot, harder to shoot and required less food on their journeys, speeding up pit-stops for refilling.
