Sego Canyon Petroglyphs - eastern Utah

I was very lucky to have the entire area completely to myself on a pleasant May afternoon - the solitude adding to the special sacredness of the Native American display. Unfortunately, of course, the more modern scratchings and graffiti can be distracting but in the calm quiet around me it was still easy to imagine ancient peoples traveling, gathering, hunting, and enjoying the canyons in what was once a natural paradise.

Sego Canyon, itself, is located in Grand County, north of Thompson Springs, Utah. The Sego petroglyphs are located about 5 kilometres (3 miles) north of Thompson Springs, which, itself, is about 320 kilometres (200 miles) southeast of Salt Lake City.

Here's is my personal webpage about travel in general:

Thanks for posting this. I'm visiting the Moab area in September and will include this diversion while there.

Although not spectacular I think it'll be well worth the stop as it's reasonably close to Moab.

I checked out your video and it's well done. However, it's listed as being posted by "kisscactus" - is that another one of your accounts?
