Horseshoe Canyon contains some of the most significant rock markings in North America. The Great Gallery, the best known pictograph panel in Horseshoe Canyon, includes well-preserved, life-sized figures with intricate designs. Other impressive sights include spring wildflowers, sheer sandstone walls, and mature cottonwood groves along the intermittent stream in the canyon bottom. Horseshoe Canyon was added to Canyonlands National Park in 1971.

Brings back memories. We were there December of 2005. Camped out in the parking area for 3 nights and explored during the dat. It was cold at night. We did not see any other people while there. We got some great photos. I was awesome to be among such ancient art.

Wow! Just Wow! Thank you guys! And a big Hug to all who read these comments. It is a balmy 1 degree with a wind chill of at least minus 15 below 0. Take away Al's bunt cake. Zero carbon won't help!

They look like the "Dobbs object" don't you think? The glyphs you're calling comets. Fascinating. Thank you all for sharing this with those of us who can't get out to see them ourselves😊😊😊

Nice camera work! And what an amazing place! What fascinates me most are the presence of European-style swords in the pictographs. You can see them clearly at 10:13 (broad blade angled as if worn on a belt), and at 13:04 (long, upright, sword with hilt at top)The "little fingery things" are orbs.

Wow that would be fun to see in person, but thanks for taking videos to share. I can see so much going on even beyond outer layer of drawings.

A Navajo guide who brought us to the Grand Canyon spoke about the ancient people possibly being visited by and saved by beings in "Dust Bowl" or space ship. Could these pictures be them?! Grin. Thanks for the great tour.

Is it weird when I see these petroglyphs and the hands all over the world on rock ....that I feel like they are from in the earth not from out here thousands of years ago. It’s the feeling I get.
