This band basically never failed an album. First time I heard this, I needed some time to get accostumed to it, just as for the Hunter.
But they are both AMAZING. So therefore, I don't think there is an album by Mastodon that I don't like, it's all gorgeous music.
I hope they don't stop!! I want a new big psychedelic adventure to be told! )))

I yelled at Dailor once when he was getting off the bus at the Hunter/Heritage show in Seattle. When he got behind the kit he smiled and pointed his sticks right at me in recognition (I was in the front row being loud and beligerent). Cool moment from what seem to be really down to earth chaps. I'm actually more excited about this album than the new Opeth one.

That Brann vocal!!! Man I'm even more stoked over this than High Road. This album is shaping up to be something really special I think. For me, the Mastodon boys never cease to amaze with their studio albums.

Song at the end sounds amazing. Prog rock goodness incoming people. Remission was great but those of you wishing for it over and over again are going to be disappointed. Mastodon have found their home in prog rock with generally cleaner singing and hooks. This is a good thing imo, can't wait for this album!

Great bloody album, stil has the Mastodonian vibe but the same time it's more hummable and foot-tappable than anything they've done prior to this, really digging.

I know that I have no room to talk because I've only liked Mastodon for a few months, but if you don't like any of what they're going to release, then don't listen to it. I know it's different compared to Remission, but they're evolving. You can think it's good or bad, but remember one thing. No one is forcing you to listen to it.
