Show Yourself really shows their diversity which is awesome. Not your 'typical' Mastodon sound but that's what makes it addicting. Reminds me a little of Foo Fighters on steroids! Love it!!!

The way I see it, there are two opinions on "Show Yourself." You either liked it, or you thought it sounded too pop. I've personally never heard a pop song that sounds anything like that. They're experimenting with all sorts of sounds, this is what they've always done, ever since Remission. The fact that this sounds different to Sultan's Curse, which, I admittedly thought was just okay, is simply Mastodon being Mastodon, as far as I'm concerned. But hey, that's just my opinion.
