Accidentally fell into this hobby after seeing one of your videos. I subscribed and watched ALL of your videos multiple times over the course of several months before taking the plunge and getting my first hot swap board, gateron milky yellow switches and epomaker XDA keycaps and a frosted pink case. I'm so proud of myself, and I'm typing this on my first custom build keeb! I have zero rattle on my stabs and have acheived thock! Thanks so much for your videos Hipyo! They're fun, funny, and I learn a lot more that way!

Never saw companies complaining that every other company was using white on black keycaps with almost the exact same font. It's really no different with aftermarket sets. Now if it was a unique font, pictograph, sculpture, profile or even a unique material that'd be a different story. Most of the time though it's just Cherry profile, in ABS or PBT, with almost the exact same font, in a different colourway.

If GMK didn't do these limited runs where you had to order keycaps a whole year in advance there wouldn't even be a need for clones. Between buying clones and paying a reseller 2x the price, money that won't even be seen by the original creator, I'd rather go with the clones.

If I could buy a set of GMK Olivias for retail, I would, but since I can't and spending $300+ on an aftermarket keycap set is insane, I unfortunately find it hard not to support clones....

Love the content and, echoing others, you've definitely helped to bring me into the community so thank you for that.

IMO it might be cool to see a video where you change 1 thing about a fairly neutral keyboard and see how it impacts sound and feel. The most clickbaity one would be switches -- same keyboard and swap out the switches for a few different ones. But you could easily do the same and swap out the base plate, stabilizers, foam thickness/existence, etc.

It's sometimes hard for me to piece together how a particular piece will impact the board and the tradeoffs associated with it. You're constantly changing and building something in each one of your builds, but then I don't know what component(s) produced the end result that I might like or dislike. I think that other people would probably find it useful to be able to go to a particular video on stabilizers or whatever and see/hear the difference and tradeoffs, know what to watch out for when working with and/or shopping for stabilizers, etc.

I have no clue how we got to a point where having a full set of standard black keycaps with 3 of em being pink is somehow intellectual property. heck whoever created the fonts they're using should come collect his royalties at this point.
