I'm a vinyl-records DJ, i had played all inside my bag, but the club asked me to keep playing, i had to switch to CDJs and was surprised with these, didn't know how to use them haha here to learn, thanks!

The link cueing is a great feature. Being able to quickly preview what’s happening later in the track is ace.

The new way to browse, search and see your tracks and playlists is great too.

People seem to be looking for features like dual layers and on board FX but as a club DJ this is the last thing I need.

I work as an event tech and our company does rentals.
People rarely ask for denon prime and it will probably stay that.
Most people renting from us dont care for "performance pads", or music streaming. But bigger screens and some minor improvements are welcome and getting rid of the CD slots is something I will appreciate in the long run.

Thanks for a honest and unbiased review.

As you so rightly said, these are aimed at the professional that could turn up at a venue having never used them before therefore they must have a familiar feel.

I was impressed with the sound quality, browsing options and large touch screen but mostly with the high quality jog wheel and responsiveness in terms of minimal lag due to the power of the MPU.

I’m sure the ‘bells and whistles’ will come further down the line in response to those that actually use them.

So many Denon DJ references under a Pioneer DJ product thats a sign something aint going well for Pioneer, Denon Dj for the win!

20:10 Eeeehh, no, it doesn't do that.
Just like an image file with a VGA resolution doesn't suddenly get high res when you put it fullscreen on a 4K display.

Well good. Maybe the 2000's will come down in price so I can get in on a pair of those.

That looks way too complicated. How are you supposed to do that when you're off your nut?

Hopefully the next XDJ-XZ 2 will have this screen and jog wheel set up. That would be the real unit to go for.

The Pioneer simply feels good, is clearer, more intuitive, tidier, you feel at home here immediately.
Thank You for this Video, stay tuned.

1 clickable rotary knob with a shift button can replace the 7 buttons used for looping and beat jump

As a Pioneer user, I must say that Denon is WAAAAY ahead. And when the time comes for my CDJ2000 NXS2/DJM900NXS2 setup, I'll go for Denon. That's the reality. The name of a product is not that important in 2020/2021. When a product with a less known name is 50% cheaper and 50% better than what you use/own...You change it. No matter the domain in which you work.

Pioneer is the "blockbuster" of dj controllers, hello Denon.

I'm still perfectly happy with my CDJ-900 Nexus and I have brought them to Bars and outdoor events many times - one feature I like in his demo is the better seated jog wheel. It is about time they fixed that.

Nice update, but still pretty disappointing additional features compared to the Denon lineup

@21:29 100 gigabit? :P i want that for my pc! (i guess u mean 1gbit or 100mbit?)
Great review, good to see what has changed! I really like the new browsing functions, however i think pioneer will have a hard time selling these at this corona times...
Would love to see streaming functions as well!

Seems like Pioneer waited 10 yrs to update their CDJs but somehow they still ended up behind the competition...SC6000 are way better

This screen and the extra features on the next XDJ-RX3 or XDJ-XZ2 would be just what I want
