Pioneer CDJ 3000 - A Glimpse Into the Future of DJ Gear /// The CDJ 3000 is setting the standard as a top of the line, premium media player and MIDI controller. When it come to DJ gear and building the best controller for DJing, much inspiration is taken from popular DJ equipment both current and from the past.

Given that, I had a chance to demo the Pioneer DJ CDJ 3000 and noticed a host of features on it that will make it ideal as a blueprint for inspiring the design and build of future pieces of DJ equipment.

In this video, I'll talk about four aspects of the CDJ 3000 that I think will serve as great inspiration for future DJ products.

There are so many tips and tricks a DJ can utilize on a the CDJ 3000. Tricks like beat jump, key sync, key cue, hot cues and more. And these onboard features of the CDJ 3000 would be great to have on DJ controllers, DJ media players and other DJ equipment.

Bro... the Denon Primes can do all the things you are wanting and more. They can read files and analyze them on the fly. No need to use software to prep it. That’s why Pioneer lags in that technology.

Have you not seen that Denon sc 5000 & 6000 media players? That's the direction Pioneer needs to go! Denon SC6000 would be perfect for me if they played mp4s

good piece of kit, but I'm not ready to shift from my CDJ2000nxs2 because:
1) larger screen is cool but not essential
2) 8beat loop button is cool but not essential (2000nxs2 they have same function just holding a bit more its loop button)
3) track preview is supercool but it works just on 900nxs2 and V10 mixers..I play on A&H
4) CDs slot lacking..maybe nobody play on them, but have that or not is a plus about will to play a CD or as backup at gigs (carrying some CDs for)
5) fraction of seconds less to load a track is cool but not essential
6) smartness to browse songs or sort them is cool but not essential
7) Hot Cues buttons I like more those 2000nxs2 ones, better location and more attractive (more toys-like as I like)
8) playing on screen with Key is not for me, I like Music as it is..
..so all in all I don't see why to drop my 2000nxs2..

What do you think about my observations of the CDJ 3000? Are some of the features like display screen and on board commands a path to future DJ gear builds?
