This video demonstrates how to install and use Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) to install different Distros.

Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) is a feature of Windows that allows you to run a Linux environment on your Windows machine, without the need for a separate virtual machine or dual booting. WSL is designed to provide a seamless and productive experience for developers who want to use both Windows and Linux at the same time.

Unfortunately, most of us need the exact opposite.

I used WSL2 to install Ubuntu. It easy for WIndows 11, but in Windows 10 it need third party application to run X11 graphics. You don't need it, if you use remote desktop from WIndows to Ubuntu. I used Ubuntu for developing application on embedded Linux that used ARM processor.

This shit came in clutch for computer science courses being able to run vs code on my laptop with bash but I’m in windows… saved my battery life and everything. The one good thing windows has recently added it feels like. Expecting me to code in windows then open a vm just to run it hell no.
