Be aware that unlike a virtual machine, wsl isn't completely separate from the rest of your computer, so I don't recommend using this for hacking.

On Windows 10, you need to first install Kali Linux. To do that, open CMD as an administrator and run the below command:
wsl --install -d kali-linux

Using WSL I have installed Android subsystem for Android. I have sideloaded android apps using apk files. Basically ran Android apps side loaded on a Windows PC.

when you install WSL or WSL2 and install a tool within the linux you use, you can run that command within windows cmd,
like opening vim within windows terminal

Yes you can do control r the CMD -r wsl -d kali-linux kex --sl and it will open a Kali taskbar without a Kali window
