As an Arch noob I had both loaded on different laptops but they are both Xfce now. It’s simpler and easier to learn, you only add the programs you wasn’t as you want them. Where with KDE Plasma it might have been pretty and all that but there was some bulk I’d never use. I also like the clean look of Xfce.

I have a 2010's laptop that needs some extra oomph for web app programming and I stumbled upon manjaro.
I've never heard of it, and have messed around with linux before, used Mint for awhile, but went back to windows.
This may be the switch that seals the deal, and I'm leaning more towards XFCE.

THANK YOU for saying that both environment have all the same tools available.
I didn't realize that both environments are, in fact, the same kernel. i.e windows guy.

I've got a gaming laptop that's 10 years old that I still use and recently migrated (installed) Manjaro KDE plasma and love it. The only issue I've got with it is that my win key for the start menu on KDE plasma randomly stopped working, how does one resolve this (figure it out in a way so I can learn 🤔😶) if anyone could like guide me or offer a small tip on how resolve it that'd be great.


By the way I've already tried to reconfigure the win key but that didn't really much 😕....
