Hey Guys, in this week's video, I am going to give you your first beatmatch lesson where I explain how to DJ with a laptop. I know that most of the people who follow my youtube channel are beginner DJs who perhaps do not have that much money. Well, DJing can be quite an expensive hobby. So in this tutorial, I am going to teach you a quick technique that can help you get better at beatmatching even if you only have a laptop and some basics of a DJ program.

hey! monday night at home, started partying sat night at the club, went to an after with new pals & the DJ who was rly pushing me into starting mixing. Just dlded Serato & a free library tried to get a song to click in for a few mins and realised after loking around I need help. 👍🏽 Great...if the software has set the beat markers actually on the beats. If it hasn't on track B and u bring it in, it'll be galloping horses without headphone control on track B before mixing in. Headphone jack on computer needs Aux/ headphone splitter.

I’ve just tried this on my 2012 MacBook Pro and whilst I was able to set the cue points and loops and beat match the tracks and adjust them if they were out, I really struggled to raise and lower the volume and set the lows, mids and highs using the mouse and/or trackpad as it would either move the controls too fast or wouldn’t move them at all. Having tried it out a few times and seen some other tutorials on using a laptop to DJ, I personally feel that this type of mixing works on a controller, but if you are on a laptop, it is a lot easier to use cross fader to mix between the songs rather than adjusting the lows, mids and highs
