Have been getting testosterone via Pellet injections for 2 years. I'm going off pellets, and see doc tomorrow. Is it safe for me to stop testosterone, or should I taper dosage? Could the testosterone be causing my thinning hair, as well?

I’ve been on HRT for 1.5 years; Estrogen and progesterone. I’ve been on synthroid for almost 30 years. My gorgeous long wavy hair has almost completely died. It’s still thinning, brittle, breaking, and I’ve never experienced this before. I am doing everything- minoxidil, collagen, pumpkin seed, prp, red light therapy, and nothing works.😢😢😢

I’ve been recently diagnosed with POI and have been struggling with slight hair loss/thinning for over a year or two now (it started when i was about 15 and I’m 17 now) and will soon be getting HRT for estrogen and I’m hoping it will help improve! I miss having thick hair :, )

2 minutes into the video and still emphasis on how distressing and upsetting it is to lose her... I think we all know that...?!

Biotin can also interfere with a lot of lab tests such as thyroid, sex hormones and troponin which is a blood test that is used to check for a heart attack (in the ER) and could cause a false negative

biotin hasn't been shown in studies to help with hair growth to my knowledge
Take that as you would like

I'm losing my hair at an alarming rate where I can see the white bulbs on the tips of every strand of hair that is falling out. I started suffering hair loss last summer and my hair thinned quite a lot and as a result I bought a shampoo and conditioner and elixir specifically for hair loss which really improved and my hair loss stopped. I started using another elixir from another company but in the last 3 weeks to date my hair hasn't stopped falling out - I am terrified now and deeply sad. I am 57yrs of age and I have suffered some hot flushes for a few months but they have stopped since due to making some changes to my diet. Is there a blood test to tell if you are in menopause and losing estrogen/progesterone also if testosterone is dominant? I would really appreciate if you list below the blood test I should request from my GP as I've had some of them before but will need to explain which ones they are and not the acronyms as I am in the UK, so acronyms might be a bit different. Thank you

ok I would love for you to hear your thoughts on rogaine for MEN: I've found a video here from a girl who had achieved results using the Target brand for men rogaine alternative so I went ahead and bought me a box that comes with 3 bottles. I've started using it on my eyebrows (over plucking and menopause thinning) a couple weeks back, once a day and yet zero results but I will keep trying. I wonder if I can use that on my scalp. I have 2 spots at the front and overall thinning of the hair. Thanks.

I was losing massive hair daily when I was almost post menopause. I went to see a endocrinologist and he did all my blood work and everything was fine. He prescribed Spirolactine (spelling?) and my hair stopped falling out and grew back. Unfortunately my hair is still thin on the sides and crown area. I had really thick hair prior to my unexplainable hair loss and now only have thick hair at the front and back. Any recommendations to thicken crown and side sides?

Is it really true that taking estrogen for hot flashes will help stop my hair from thinning?

Can you address loss of estrogen on collagen? Did menopause cause my sagging wrinkled face or was it the march of time ha ha!!

Unless you are very deficient in biotin, it will do nothing.

Look into light therapy to stimulate growth.

I am 55 years old and am in menopause or post-menopause not even sure what that means. I've been experiencing significant hair loss for the last 6 months. My hair has noticeably thinned out to the point I have trouble even styling it. I look like I have male pattern balding and my hair comes out in multiple strands when I shower or comb my hair. I've been taking collagen for the last 2-3 years. I started the Biote Hormone pellets in November of this past year for mood swings and it seems to be helping but I started wondering if the hair loss was due to the pellets or maybe too much testosterone? I just had my blood work done and all my levels are in the normal range, My Testosterone level is at 113. My doctor doesn't think it is the Testosterone causing the hair loss. My OBGYN prescribed Finasteride but I read that this drug has no effects on women's hair growth? I started taking Biotin a couple of weeks ago and started using women's Rogaine about a month ago. I just bought the Restore red led light therapy cap for hair growth, I have not started using it yet. I am so frustrated and embarrassed by my hair loss. I have read in the comments here that Aldactone or Spironolactone worked for someone? I'd like to know more about that drug and the results people have gotten with using it? Or anything else I haven't tried?
