What I gathered from most comments after the debate is that people had set a very low standard for Vance, based on Trump's mannerisms and performance against Kamala. So, as soon as Vance took a different approach from Trump, it was considered a brilliant night for him. Personally, I think it was unfair to compare Vance to Trump in the first place. Vance exceeded expectations when compared to Trump, presenting himself smoothly, though he still clung to many of the same falsehoods as Trump, albeit in a more polished manner. Walz, known not to be a strong debater, came across as humane and authentic, especially in his answers, which largely reflected the reality we've experienced since 2021.

Walz's awkwardness & uncomfortableness is very obvious but he looks like a freakin' genius compared to Harris. It's settled. This Independent is voting for Trump. We need Presidential leadership not a couple of circus clowns.

Did anyone else watch the full VP Debate? I was expecting to see feathers fly and insults rain down. How disappointment. It was a tie. Both guys were trying their desperate best to put their case forward while trying to plaster over the holes in both their arguments. It was a refreshing change from the ridiculous absurdity of the "Presidential" debate. All in all both candidates landed some punches and took a hit here and there. It was a draw.
The best part was when the moderators cut the mikes.
