I am from the red portion of central Pennsylvania. Josh Shapiro would have made no difference. Walz is fine. Also, I know a handful of people who voted for Trump in the past but will not in the future; I know not a single person who didn’t vote for Trump in the past who now is…anecdotal, but I don’t see where Trump is going to get the new votes he would need. Also there are many Ukrainian Pennsylvanians who had voted Republican in the past and now will not….

Also in that poll: 93% of registered voters said they were certain to vote. That's nonsense, of course. In the history of PA elections, the closest they came to 90% was in 1960 (88% of registered voters). In the last 4 presidential elections, the turnout average is 71%. And when you drill down into the crosstabs, Harris had a 2 percentage point advantage over Trump in the partisan leaning numbers (91% leaning Democrats pick Harris while 89% leaning Republican pick Trump).
