Complete denial is always my go to thing with breakups. It sounds stupid right, but if you think about it, it's actually really smart. The brain is a powerful thing. If you tell yourself a lie over and over, eventually, you'll train your brain to actually start believing that lie and eventually, it'll change your perspective and emotion towards whatever the subject was that you were continuously lying to yourself about.

One of the hardest things is to remember the reasons for breaking up. You have to really dig deep and find what was wrong with them or the situation and remind yourself every day. As bad as it sounds, that really helps. Also, making progress on something helps. Like making progress in the gym, saving for travel, volunteering, big projects, etc. Tinder helps but it does kind of get you into a weird situation because once you have so many people/options, no one seems to be of value anymore. It's strange but that was my experience with it. Definitely always have someone to talk to though, texting and stuff. Tinder can help with that. And I completely agree with doing things you weren't able to do when you were with them. Like going out or hanging out with friends of the opposite sex even though they weren't a threat to the relationship, etc. Try new things like fun classes. As cliche as it sounds, Tom is right that getting up and doing things helps. Try not to fall into partying too much though. It will backfire on you.

My best friend hooked up with my boyfriend a year ago. They're still dating and I still hadn't gotten over it. I'm not like still in love with him, I've dated someone else since, but I don't think it will EVER stop hurting, or that I'll ever just laugh about it. That hurts man. And it sucks. And she's still like a big part of my squad. So every party, every gathering, she brings him and t's like. Why bitch. Why.

I love your videos! I just discovered you a couple nights ago and have watched a whole bunch. They're super helpful bc I got married at 18 and was married for 4 years and never went through the early 20s dating thing. And now I am 22 and 4 years behind my peers. Your videos help me feel like I'm catching up.

What you wrote in the description is so true... I could have used this video a few months ago. I spent way too long feeling upset because I wouldn't let myself delete my ex on social media and stuff. But once I did it was so helpful. Looking back now I don't know why I was even so upset over him because he's not a good person anyway. Time was definitely the most helpful thing for me with getting over my breakup, even though everyone hates to hear that. It really truly helps even though it takes a while.

When I get over someone I remove them then I change myself for the better. Prove them wrong. Show them I can be better than the bitter person the expected.🤘🏼

I agree with your last piece of advice, I have to constantly talk to my friends about how you'll meet other people. We have such a small school compared to the billions of other humans out there it's not a good indicator to tell how your dating life will turn out.

In this two weeks i was started to forget a guy i really liked, and I logged off from fb two weeks, blocked him on IG, and everytime I felt down, I wrote or read a poetry about my feelings. I WROTE A LOT. I also, listen to music and focused on my career. Today I logged again on FB after two weeks and I still like him, but i feel very strong and positive and Im 100% sure im fine now. Also. watching videos like yours do help A LOT. So thanks for your help!!

Love you Tom! I don't mind your face at all. Hella' cute. Great advice.
After a break up: I destroy anything he gave me; Listen to break-up songs/female empowerment songs & sing to the top of my voice; Go out and have fun with friends/family; Get in kick-ass shape; Treat myself with beauty/other stuff! Like you said, it's their loss. Peace. :D <3

I think a good way to get over a shorter relationship is maybe to talk to other people and if you want to get into a new relationship, give yourself maybe a month or so and then get back into it.  it sounds like getting a rebound to get over the ex but for me I genuinely want a good lasting relationship and talking to different guys might help... that could be terrible advice but it could help lolll
