Loneliness is extremely painful. It hurts so bad when you have no one to deeply connect with. Jesus to me seems so far away. I call on Him but he doesn’t answer. I love him so much but for some reason I can’t feel his help and comfort. It hurts so bad💔

I have been part of a church for years but I'm not getting the community support that I need. I've been feeling lonely from time to time since covid started and even after church reopened, and recently the loneliness I feel is more intense and frequent. I considered attending other churches but I feel shy when meeting new people in groups. I also don't have close friends from other churches to help me integrate into a new church. I need to do this on my own and I need courage from God to step into new social groups. If you guys would pray for me to have the courage from God to find the community support that I need, that would be greatly appreciated!

I feel lonely I awkward sit alone at church. Today at church I couldn’t concentrate on the word I felt so much pain from the loneliness I feel. I just wanted to cry. I get why I keep falling into the same traps of sin. It’s because of the loneliness. I want something to fill the void so I don’t have to feel the pain. It only helps temporarily though. I came across this sermon today after getting home from church and I’m grateful for it.

Thank you. It feels comforting to hear someone acknowledge that loneliness isn't just an issue with us not being close enough to God, it's an issue with us not being close enough to each other.

I keep hearing people say that you need to be comfortable being by yourself. I'm dealing with a sudden breakup because she wasn't ready for intimacy and connection required for a relationship and pulled out as soon as it got tough.

The next day, my grandmother died suddenly. All of this happened why I was away at school getting my engineering degree. After these two losses, it feels like a wound has reopened and I'm all alone once again. I really desire that closeness and intimacy with someone. And as a guy, we are pretty much always alone.

I'm exhausted. I'm in so much pain. I need to know and be known by another.

It’s sad how you even don’t know you are hurting and lonely or deserve love and kindness until you meet the people and community who are so loving and caring that it feels so weird and unworthy of it. I hope everyone who is hurting find this community ❤
