The US version has no definition of what “as soon as practical” means. And no definition of what no Israeli offensive “under current conditions” means.
This is obviously by design so that Israel can act on its own definition while technically not “violating” the resolution.
While negotiations to release the Israeli hostages are ongoing, this resolution effectively turns 1.3 million Palestinian refugees into hostages.
The US resolution effectively means that without the release of the Israeli hostages, no cease fire, no food, no fuel, no water, no medicine and no relief from the bombs and shells and dying.
I’m sure this will be hailed on the evening news as a new position for the Biden administration. And maybe the final version will look different.
But based on what has been released so far, this is a cynical move to appear to take a different posture, while actually changing nothing.

But then the Biden administration doesn't actually believe that we are witnessing a genocide.
