2025 BMW M5 Track Drive Review | The Cornea Impression

The all-new G90 BMW M5 is BMW M’s first saloon to be powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The new BMW M5 borrows the 577hp 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine found on the XM and X5M SUVs and pairs it with a 194 hp electric motor to put out a combined power output of 717hp and 1000 Nm of torques. The added weight from the onboard batteries has resulted in the new BMW M5 weighing 2,435 kilos, inviting immense criticism from critics and enthusiasts alike. However, the new BMW M5 can still manage the 0-100kph sprint time in 3.5 seconds with the top speed getting electronically limited to 250 kph. Cosmetically, BMW has beefed up the standard 5 Series design with a wider body kit, more M-specification interior components like upholstery stitching, Merino leather seats and others.
