Just be sure you can't put anyone in that place of the title "groom" and be happy temporarily just because you got married. That's a sure way to be super disappointed later on when you realize the honeymoon is over.

I think this audience member deserved a more dignified response and Barbara missed this one completely - Rachael didn't do any better with her contribution. The question was what kind of conversation should she have to establish longevity - the answer in my opinion is that she needs to have conversation that sheds light on the person's character such as attitude toward family, sense of responsibility, loyalty etc., that would tell her first and foremost if she even wants to consider longevity. The answers Barbara gave were senseless and should, in fact, turn off anyone worth considering! I mean really? Tie a line around his neck and reel him in!

You shouldn't ask a dude about marriage and kids too early in a relationship. Those types of questions freak guys out and that goes double for guys these days, who due to the societal changes of the past 50 years are able to get certain things out of non-marital relationships that in years past would have required the types of obligations that marriage entails.

Sorry but when Rach asked 'Do you have a lot of dates?', it seems to be nosy. It's none of her business to ask personal questions like that. What if she didn't date much? It's something some women uncomfortable answering. I personally don't like the question.
