A recent realisation I had.. And had to learn it hard way.

. Everyone says dream big, desire greatest. But you must really put a check if it's really a matter of your strength. And secondly, you must be okay with it not being fulfilled.

I learnt it the hard way. And if you argue that "you will not find fire in you if you don't want it bad enough" you'll also learn it the hard way like me.

I'm afraid to let go of the old me cuz I don't know what the future holds, even though rationality I know I should be excited especially if and when I'm taking the right steps because the world will open up. I'm just afraid I can't handle the new possibilities, I'm afraid of being overwhelmed I guess. But I also want to feel excited, you know? Like really living, being excited about new things, the fun lies in not knowing what the future holds, that anything can happen. But a lot of the times it's so hard to keep that mindset. A lot of times I guess it feels safer to hold on to the old methods and thoughts because I know them and know where they lead, and I guess I'm a fair bit jaded by the world and life. I'm guessing balance is key. To keep your feet on the ground but still let yourself peek above the clouds sometimes or hell even float for a while if you're able to do that. Sometimes holding on to the old me is literally the only thing keeping me afraid. Why is it so hard to let go? It's a sort of a death to let go of oneself and allow a new self to be built. And I'm afraid of the pain. I'm afraid I'll suffer for no good reason again. But what's the choice? Stay in the same place and suffer for nothing or give yourself a chance for a painful but potentially life changing transition? And I guess it takes a bit if time, no matter how good it feels to let go sometimes and how freeing it can be, only a fool would jump head first without checking the depth of the water first. But also you just got to take some chances, follow your gut feeling! Good luck everyone!
